Question Print to network printer. Scheduled task

    Hi

I am creating a VB6 program which shall run as a scheduled task. It may run when the user is logged off, and the scheduled task will specify the user account to use when running the task.

When the program is run I need to be able to output to a network printer.

What is the best way for me to connect or map to the network printer in my program before I send the output?

    vb Code:
    1. for each p in printers
    2. if p.devicename = networkprintername then set printer = p: exit for
    3. end if
assuming the network printer is installed as a printer for the computer that is running the code, set the printer name appropriately

i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next

dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part

come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed
