    Post Charitable Event Program

    Good afternoon all,

    I have been hosting a charitable event through my local dart league for the past 6 years..

    This year, the event expanded to include 3 additional counties and charities; and it will be introduced to 18 dart leagues that span across 7 states beginning in 2013.

    I have been utilizing various spreadsheets and word documents to compile all my data/stats, but given the expansion, I would like to move forward with a program of sorts that could be utilized by all coordinators to help keep track of all the pertinent information for each event.

    This is not something I am looking to make money off of...I am not going to sell it, or charge individuals to use the program..it is simply the next step that is necessary to help keep track of player/venue/charity information, pledges promised/pledges received and total money raised...

    I am hoping someone will have an interest in taking this project on with little to no compensation other than full credit for the design..I put too much money in to other areas of my fundraisers and just cannot afford anything...

    If you are interested in learning more, let me know...thank you in advance to all!

    Erik

    As i see it, there are 2 options:

    1) Using a simple and quickly coded piece of single software, that will be installed on each coordinator computer, and will collect data locally. This data will probably later need to be merged, either manually or using an online tool.

    2) Using a web-service, that will allow coordinators to access data stored in a single location through a browser. This will require alot more work and maintenance, and will require you to continually run a web-server throughout the event. No software need ever be installed on coordinator computers though, and the benefits of a single shared storage are obvious.

    I could write 1) for you fairly easily and quickly, but will not throw my hat in the ring, if 2) is what you're after, since I simply haven't the spare-time, nor proper means of testing ASP.NET MVC 3 on my IIS.
    {Will implement using C#.Net 2011 Beta}

    What kind of time frame are you looking at? What kind of features do you need? Would it be a single user with local data storages, or would there need to be a centralized data store?
