    Resolved [RESOLVED] Replace Function

    i like to use the Replace Function to replace the mark comma (,) with the this text (,") however in VBA it seems that i can type my syntax like this.

    Textbox1.text = Replace(strMyString, ",", ","", 1, 1, vbTextCompare).

    You see the text in red and in blue ," and " can not go along. and VBE said " Compile error. Expected list seperator or )"
    i'm newbie. Please edify me. thanks

    Re: Replace Function

    try
    vb Code:
    1. Textbox1.text = Replace(strMyString, ",", ",""", 1, 1, vbTextCompare).
    i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
    Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next

    dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part

    come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed

    Re: [RESOLVED] Replace Function

    " (and some other reserved characters) have to be escaped with a ", so in this case you get ""
    optionally (some would say properly) you can use chr(34)

    "," & chr(34) would be the same as ","""
