Re: Rankings
Which rankings are you interested in? There are two that provide some kind of feedback. The first is the user title. They start at New Member, then advance at some point, then fall into a binary sequence where each category is twice the size of the category before. The other ranking is the green gems with some tooltip ranking. In those, a new gem is added every 100 up to some point, then every 200 up to a maximum of 11 gems. As for the tooltip text, that goes up on some different scale.
I believe there is a site FAQ around here somewhere that may list one or both sets of ranking categories.

The User Titles.
Could someone either post a list of the user titles or the faq concerning them.

Re: Rankings
There's at least one more rep ranking, because JMC has it.
I think there are a few more rankings below 100 rep, too, because some people show 65+. Perhaps they don't get a different tooltip, though.

Mine says I will soon become famous enough because I have 65+. I found that last post in by doing a search and the category was in Forum Feedback. Actually I followed a post from a post you made a long time ago shaggy :P

Haven't heard that word in a long time. Are you originally from LA, or might you be from the north east?

If you're suggesting that Marty is old, well, he is !
But he's a goodie as well.
EDIT:
BTW, I wasn't aware of the binary nature of the
categories .. nice research on your part ..

PowerPosters can change their titles.
I wish you hadn't mentioned that...
I, for one, will refrain for now, although resistance
may be futile.

We assume that power posters have been around long enough that they will use the proper restraint and thought when creating their custom titles...... Or they will face the rath of the almighty mods (or worse - me )

Re: Rankings
One thing that is a bit confusing is that only the number when the change changes is referred to on a users reputation. For example, at the moment I have 507 reputation but it says "[User] is a glorious beacon of light". Shouldn't the amount be changed to reflect whether I have 400 points, 500 points or 600 points?

Given that the standard titles are all "[something] Member" I feel you may be offering an unreasonable amount of temptation. Just sayin'

Well, a Glorious Member wouldn't be so bad either.
