    Install AVG in Windows 7

I've downloaded the AVG Free antivirus setup file from

    http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Vi...=dl&tag=button

After download I've run the file as administrator and it's supposed to start downloading the rest of the components and install, but it shows a message that something is being extracted and then does just nothing. The task manager shows no task or process having to do with this.

Perhaps some files have been extracted and I must go to the corresponding folder and run them, but there's no further information where those files might be.

I wonder if there might be some system setting that prevents the file from running.

Right after the extraction at the bottom of Internet Explorer, there is a yellow rectangle which asks you if you want to run or save the file.

You might need to run the program using "Run as administrator" or even change the UAC settings via the "User Accounts and Family Safety", "User Accounts" section in the control panel.

I installed AVG with no problems on Windows 7 so it's not the OS
