my goal is to link the sales transaction to accounting system. that is the accounting entry will be automatically created for the sales transaction.

Uhmm... Could you give more details about what you are trying do?

If you mean something like MYOB or QuickBooks when you say "accounting system" then you should be looking at the accounting system itself and what API it provides. It's not really anything to do with databases because the accounting system will perform the data access itself and you will simply call the appropriate methods of the appropriate types.
