    Sysinternals Utilities

For those who have not heard of these utilities I would suggest checking them out.

For those who know and use them there are several new and updates from the past two months.

I have used a few but Process Monitor for one has saved me countless times and has proven to be an invaluable tool for our service desk too. You can dump a result set to a text file then import into say MS-Access, write SQL against the results to slim down the results for seeking key information on issues related to one process. Within PM you can setup to monitor one process but there is so much information recorded that dumping to MS-Access is best.

There are some that deal with core utilization, which is a subject I hope to be immersed in sometime in the coming year.

    BlueScreen
    v3.2 (November 1, 2006)
This screen saver not only accurately simulates Blue Screens, but simulated reboots as well (complete with CHKDSK), and works on Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Server 2003 and Windows 9x.
I loled at this. Imagine the heart attacks this could cause if you're not a paranoid saver.

My former boss (still friends, he just now works two floors up from me) was treated to this screen saver once
