Updating Windows and Excel
I currently run Windows XP (yes, I'm an old dog) in a VM supported by Parallels Desktop on my iMac and I use Excel 2010. I'm considering purchasing Windows 10 and the most recent version of Office. If I don't want to pay the fees for Office 365, what are my options?

Re: Updating Windows and Excel
For Windows 10, you can get a perpetual license version of Office 2019 (Home & Student, Home & Business, or Pro). Microsoft would like you to think that Office 365 costs less, but it actually costs more once you add up the annual fees.

Re: Updating Windows and Excel
though i would think the 365 would be continuously updated to the latest version
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next
dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part
come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed

It would, which may or may not be a good thing. You may find a feature you were using was removed, or a multi-gigabyte update is being installed when you are trying to finish your TPS reports, or the latest update broke something.

Re: Updating Windows and Excel
Hi,
Open Excel. Click or double-click the Excel app icon, which resembles a green box with a white "X" on it. ...
Click the Blank document. It's on the upper-left side of the launch page.
Click File. ...
Click Account. ...
Click Update Options. ...
Click Update Now. ...
Allow the updates to install.
Is this what you want?

Re: Updating Windows and Excel
i doubt you can update from office 2010 to office365, without signing into microsoft and paying subscription

Pete, right now i'm trying to NOT laugh out loud.
Reemaadhikari obviously didn't see Martin's Avatar-Description (Registered 1999 - Former Admin/Mod) or Martin's Signature (MVP)
I'm pretty sure that noone has to explain to Martin how to update MS-Software....
