program builded with VB6.0, run the uncertain time, the program will crash. And there
The program has errorhandle and write log function, however, it could not catch the error message in the program.
The following error message in Event Viewer. Error Module: oleaut32.dll ,version 5.1.2600.5512, error code: 0x000048f9

is it crashing the first time the program tries to write to the event viewer or does it write then crash. Show your code for writing to the event viewer we might see something in your code.

Thanks for your reply. The program doesn't have write to the event viewer function. I think the error message was writed to by OS. The issue trouble me for a long time. Help,Help,Help,Help,Help

IN which OS you have tried ?
Do you tried it on another machines ?

1). Function: My Program is EAP (Equipment Automation Program--- semiconductor Area). EAP with Winsecs OCX communicate with Equiment. Communication Port: Comport(RS232), TCPIP(HSMS)
2). OS: Windows 2000, Windows XP. There are more than 300 computers in Fab. Most computers were suffered the issue.
