[RESOLVED] Adox and accdb
Hello Sirs,
i have a code to make an access (.accdb) database programmtically using
ADOX.
it works here in my pc but when i try to install to other pc that dont have ms access 2007 installed it says "Class not registered"
i can think that this is an ms access version issue because i tried to create .mdb and it works fine without any errors.
now my question is what file should i copy to other pc to avoid this problem?
thnx

Re: Adox and accdb
If Office 2007/2010 (with MSAccess) isn't present, then you must install the:
2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components

Re: Adox and accdb
By way of further explanation, it works with an MDB file because it uses the Jet engine to create the file and Jet is installed with Windows. The Access Connectivity Engine is not installed by default with any version of Windows, so it must be installed as part of Access itself or as a separate component as suggested by gibra. It's not a matter of just copying a file though. It requires installation.
