What does "it wont allow" mean? Do you get errors?

It might be (a.) 64-bit OS and (b.)the way VB6 SP6x is packaged. Which SP6x package are you using, a recent download?

Vs6sp6.exe was a 32-bit Acme bootstrap package. This should work in Windows x64 or x86.

Vs6sp6B.exe that I just downloaded (VB6 update only, not all of VS6) is a 32-bit non-Acme, non-InstallShield bootstrap package. This should work in Windows x64 or x86.

Some generations of Vs6sp6A.exe and Vs6sp6B.exe were 16-bit non-Acme, non-InstallShield boostrap packages. This will only work in Windows x86.

List of limitations in 64-Bit Windows
    No 16-Bit Code
    • No 16-bit code can run, except for recognized InstallShield and Acme installers (these are hard-coded in Wow64 to allow them to work).
    • 16-bit Setup bootstraps are not supported.
    • 16-bit MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows 3.x utilities will not start. If you attempt to start such a program, you receive a "Program.exe is not a valid Win32 application" error message.

We'd still need to know what "it won't allow" means because it could easily be another issue.

    Dear Friends,

    Good Morning.

    Thanks for your reply.

Actually when i am trying to install, after press .exe file, I got the following message immediately.

    "Setup was not completed successfully"

    This is for your information.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Guna
