I'm a student whose pretty fresh with programming. I have a task right now to create an entirely parametrized sailboat in Catia v5. Every parameter should then be controllable through an excel interface.
Now, I've created tables for all existing parameters and assigned them space in my excel sheet. So far so good. But then I came to a part which has several parameters to control and which the number of parts are individually controlled. Please see attached jpeg. My question concerns the sheets and ribs (however, if one is solved the same solution could of course be applied to the other).
How and what vb code is needed to make my excel sheet modify according to number of parts to control the positions of every sheet when the number of sheets varies? I.e the number of sheets could be 4 and then I want 4 "blocks" in excel where I can change their parameters and if the number is 2 then I only want 2 blocks in excel to change parameters. Each and every block contains parameters to change i.e. the sheet height, width, position etc.
