    Forum freeze/slow on loading

    Hi,

I am using works machines so they are great specs. The forums appear to be really really slow when loading a page. I think its to do with the Market place link (it loads the header, pause, the main listings, freeze for 5-10 secs or so, the bottom section).

Have other users had this problem or is it just me on the works machines.

    Just a bit of feedback

the rest seems ok and the forums are as great as they have always been

It's a new thing... they've added smart tag ads to the postings. at least that's the only thing new some of us have noticed. It also seems to only happen with IE. I noticed it at home where I use IE, but at the office I use FireFox Portable, which is v 2.something and I don't see neither the tags nor the lag. Go figure.

Thanks - thought it was just me or the works machines...

OK... it's getting worse... if there was a way, I'd be opening a trouble ticket.

Now, not only does it briefly lock up... but I'm getting scripting errors with it too. It's happened a couple times on some threads, but it also happens everytime on this one: http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=613181

VBF is quickly becoming unusable for me.

I am on FireFox (2.0.0.20 - portable version).... at home I've resorted to using Chrome, which so far seems to have done the trick there... here though.... it's FireFox of IE.
