No, you are incorrect! You can create your own flash player and to do that all you need apart from a programming language is the .ocx. Which is installed with flash player anyway but can be used to make a flash player here is a basic flash player I created in VB6.0.

Technology is a dangerous thing in the hands of an idiot! I am that idiot.
If you check you will find that redistributing this product requires (a.) a developer license from Adobe, and (b.) even then the licensing terms require that you redistribute the entire Flash installer and do not suppress the "user experience" (i.e. installer dialogs).
Anything less is piracy, plain and simple.
And how about Flajector? One friend advised me it.
I wouldn't know because I have never used it! Wouldn't that be the same as creating a projector in Flash anyway?

Of course you can. So many ways. Previously required to have a flash player on your computer to play flash. Now everything has changed.
Regarding flajector - an interesting application. Flash developers in my office use it. As far as I know, then it can be used to convert SWF to EXE.
So you need the Flash Player then !!! that .ocx you are talking about is part of the Flash PlayerNo, you are incorrect! You can create your own flash player and to do that all you need apart from a programming language is the .ocx. Which is installed with flash player anyway
Now I hadn't hear of that, sounds like the answer the OP is looking for.And how about Flajector? One friend advised me it.

Well, considering this thread is over two years old and dilettante already warned me about it in my thread above it is pointless in continuing the arguement. I still haven't been able to find a 100% free version of what that .ocx does.

Well, getting a license from Adobe seems to be free, you just have to apply and get accepted and then stick to their redistribution requirements.
I'm still trying to get my head around the point of someone creating their own flash player needing to install Adobe's Flash player in-order for theirs to work. They wouldn't need to create their own because Adobe has already it for them. It's a pity that Adobe doesn't allow for each component to be lincensed seperately and used without flash player.

Yeah and I never heard of gravity so I'm exempt too!

Of course that has no impact of Flash players that don't use Adobe's software.

guys, you're wrong. You can pack the Flash player together with your files.
I did this with flajector and f-in-boks many times

Nothing that I've seen prevents you from handling Flash using your own code. The only restrictions I've seen are those around the use of Adobe's components.
This entire thread was about the use of Adobe's components, what the first post calls "the flash player itself."
If you can roll your own or find somebody else's (open source, cheap royalty-free license, etc.) then as far as I can tell you're free to do as you please. I haven't seen any kind of licensing requirement around the data format itself.

Daroncha is right, it is possible.
3 years ago it was not possible. 2 years ago it was very difficult. but now there are different ways to do it.
I like that I can use the flash without the flash player!it is comfortably, in some cases it is necessary!
My head might explode from this dispute!
We must turn to the experts ...

I'm not sure what the big deal is anyway.
Just require that your users have Flash installed as a prerequisite, or else aply for a license (pretty sure it is free) and abide by the redistribution terms (provide the user with the full Flash installer, make them opt in to installing by clicking something clearly labeled as installing Flash, don't suppress any of the Flash installer dialogs).
Sounds easy enough.
Nightwalker83, you're too hot! As for me - the main thing is that the program works. Personally for me the rest does not make sense.
I think you are right![]()
