i want to experiment with direct x and i was wondering a couple of things what is the SDK thing that everyone talks about, what does it do and where can i get it from
and are there any other things that i need/to know

Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

It's the MS DirectX SDK and is available (like everything) from http://msdn.microsoft.com

137 MB !!!!!! what that was larger than i expected, i was wondering weather anyone had a copy on cd that they could send me, or a site that has the download in smaller parts not one large file
