    Displaying the application version

    I would like to display the application version as in Help -> About in microsoft office. It's going to be displayed in a label maybe.

    I have this code but it does not work, it always displays 1.0.0.0..... -.-

    Code:
    Version = My.Application.Info.Version.ToString

    Your version increments with every publish, not every build.

    Re: Displaying the application version

    ZenDisaster is partly correct and partly not. Publishing only affects the ClickOnce version, but that's not what My.Application.Info.Version returns anyway. The version you're getting is the assembly version. There are various version numbers associated with your application and you have to first decide which one you want. Is it the ClickOnce version you want? If so then the MSDN documentation for the property you're already using will tell you how to get it.
