    mci32.ocx problem in vista

Has anyone tried to run the multimedia mci32.ocx under wibdows vista? For my part, in an application written and compiled in VB6 I have always an error 339 to the opening of the sheet containing the control.
    the error shown is
Run-time Error '339' component ‘MCI.32.OCX' or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

Thank you in advance for your help
    Best regards.

Try looking on the Microsoft Website or contact the Mircosoft MSDN owner site and download one of the MCI32.OCX files, from there. Don't use one that is from another computer that is older than Vista. Because there is compatiablity issues, that need to worked out with runtime files being installed on Vista. And some code from VB6, might work on the VB6 Native Operating System of Win98 SP2, but then might not work with Windows XP or Vista.

Please Note: There is a lot of code that must be rewritten to do so. Like the Networking IP processes, that come as standard in VB6 works on XP, but not on Vista and VB2005.NET, etc.
