    Network Monitoring Tool

Is there a tool to monitor connections to the web from my computer?

I have a flash (SWF) file of which connects to the internet, and I want to be able to know where it is getting that information from.

Yeah I second WireShark if packet sniffing is what you're after.

Yes I have used WireShark on Ubuntu before.

Now, does anyone know of a rtmpe downloader? Something like orbit...

There is no reason why anyone would use anything other than wireshark. It's the de facto tool for those determined to know what packets smell like.
I don't live here any more.

We moved off of the subject of Wireshark about 3 weeks ago!
