[RESOLVED] Our web server this morning is very slow

We are having a strange problem in my office that I have been troubleshooting all morning. We are in CT and our web server is in Chicago at a hosting company. We have a sister office also in Chicago. Today our website is running very slowly. It takes forever to render an image and serve the complete page. We rebooted the prod server. We rebooted our local network. Same problem. Any website on the prod server runs slow for us. But not for people in the Chicago office. And our office can go to other websites (like vbforums) and response is as quick as it always is.

I am a web developer but I don't have much experience with networking. But it doesn't look good when my website runs at a crawl. If a customer calls, we are in trouble. And one employee is slowed way down because of this.

What do I do?

They didn't want to claim the problem as theirs.

It has since cleared itself.

funny how that happens. you have a problem, call them, they tell you they don't see anything, and then your problem goes away.
