    Hi 2ManyGuys,

Your post confuses me somewhat, you want to learn actionscript/flash and/or VB.net? Could you clarify what your actual question is?
If what I said was helpful, give me rep!

My Complete Games: -- 2D Zone (Space Shooter game) || _2D Zone 2_ || Ninja Blob (2D platformer) || Dren (Co-op up to 4 player base defence game)

My Projects: -- The Dread Engine (2D VB game Engine) || A* Path Finding

    An excellent site for learning DirectX7, 8 & 9 (for VB6, C# & VB.net) would be: directx4vb.vbgamer.com --- For my projects and games see: pieper.freehostia.com

Generally speaking, C++. C# can be used with XNA which allows for easy creation of games.
Of course, you can use C# or VB.NET with DirectX to create games, though its not the ultimate choice..at all

Flash is another technology for people that wants to create, mostly, web-based games and gadgets. Not too advanced.

You could theoretically make any type of game in VB.NET, using DirectX.
Flash is a simpler technique and isnt hardware accelerated, so you'll only be able to do simple games.

To start I recommend learning BitBlt. Its a simple graphics API that will allow you to draw 2D sprites.

Now I dont know much about BitBlt as I've never used it, but isnt that unnecessary as VB.NET has an entire namespace dedicated to drawing already?

Oops, yes, the original poster said VB.net not VB6. My mistake.

I would suggest learning to use GDI and simple edge-finding equations. Also, maybe a little more research into the basic topic of programming...

And not to be rude but you need to learn how to spell.
