Customizing Windows 98

Hello, is there a way to customize my windows appearance with vb? Maybe make a change to a dll or something somewhere? I would like to give my 98 a face-lift so to speak, and need a good starting point. Please refer to the attached pic. I want to give those windows a more modern appearance. Thanks.

Upgrade to XP would be my first suggestion.

What with Vista on the horizon, the price of XP should be coming down to something reasonable.

A note from the information i have gathered XP SP3 and Vista SP1 have been released to testers!

And back on topic: What kind of changes do you want to automate? Like change desktop and change view of explorer etc.... ?

SP3 - is that going to be a compilation of all the bugs SP1 and SP2 introduced?
The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.

Please indent your code and use tags around it to make it easier to read.

I think starting with explorer's appearance is what I was after. Thanks.
