Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server.

In "Date and Time Properties", you can checkmark "Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server."

But how do I make it synchronize more often ?
    I want it 2 times a day...

The time on my computer (at work) is always off by a few minutes...

You'll probably find that it's being updated by the local server (at least it should be) and that's why it keeps going off by a couple of mins. You should get the admin to set the server tiime rather than you local machine.

    There is no admin here...

How do I disable the service that updates the time from the server ?

You'd use 'net time' from the command prompt (assuming it's a windows machine). But I wouldn't recomend having a different time from the server, it could cause authentication issues.

When I type net time, I get this:
    Code:
    C:\>net time
    Could not locate a time-server.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3912.

net time /? will give you all the options. Just net time will just update the time from the set time server (which going by 'Could not locate a time-server' you don't have one set)

OK.... I have no clue how to use it...

Anyways... why can't I just make the windows one update automatically more often ?

Well really you shouldn't need too. Most modern computers are fairly accurate at keeping the time. Which suggests it's being set elsewhere, and since your on a network with a server that'd be the most logical answer. Also like I said you should be getting the time from the server (not the internet) anyway. That'd be the standard way to do it (you could keep the server at the correct time using the internet). Going by your net time response you don't have a time server set (that doesn't necessarily mean your not getting time from the server) which is what you'd have take out to stop your machine from updating from the server. If you don't have an admin who looks after/sets up the server?
