Convert MDF files to Excel or Access without having SQL-Server installed?

    Hi,

I got some *.LDF and *.MDF Files but I have no SQL-Server installed. I would like to convert the data in this files to Access or Excel or Text without installing MySQl or SQL-Server? I searched around the internet and found nothing that was ok.

    Anybody got an idea?

    Nice greetings
    Franky

You will have to install MS SQL server to get at that data - there is a free version called MS SQL Server Express - install that.

An MDF/LDF pair can be "attached" to the server.

What management tool came with the EXPRESS version? There should be a way to "attach" from that tool.
