hi everybody
i'm also make a stock program like Vaishali.

i'm also don't know how to calculate in VB.What i did now is...In order to get the balance and total of quantity, i just count and generate it in Query (Access).So that if i add or deduct an item during runtime (VB), it just generate from Access.

So hope anybody can help me if there are any better way.

Sql to Sum of Quantity Received For Each Item in Item_desc_local is

SELECT item_cat, sum(qty_rcvd) AS rsum FROM item_desc_local GROUP BY item_cat;

Sql to Sum of Quantity Dispatched For Each Item in Item_desc_Outward is

SELECT Item_category, Sum(Issue_qty) AS SIss FROM outward_item_desc GROUP BY Item_category;
