attendance monitoring using fingerprint authentication
There is a optical fingerprint sensor. finger has to be placed on it. it senses the fingerprint and sends an ID nimber to the micro controller.
Micro controller does work of comparison of the present ID with already stored ID.
If the ID is matched ,ID number is sent to the Visual Basic through serial port communication. Then the corresponding form window of the ID has to be opened as shown below.
FUNCTIONS OF COMMAND BUTTONS:
NO. OF DAYS PRESENT: refering the past details of the student the no of days should be displayed
% ATTENDANCE: similar to above process
PREVIOUS AND NEXT BUTTONS ARE USED TO SWITCH BETWEEN THE STUDENTS
OK BUTTON IS FOR JUST ACCEPTANCE
When the details button in the visual basic form window is clicked MS ACCESS should automatically open where the address, phone number, NO OF DAYS PRESENT, and aggregate marks will be displayed.
There should be a link between VISUAL BASIC and MS ACCESS
There is a LCD controller interfaced with micro controller which displays “success”When ID is matched with VISUAL BASIC. else displays”failure
