"run-time error '713' - Application-defined or object-defined error"
Hi,
I have a application developed in VB6 and MSAccess. It contains several reports created using Data Reports. When I create a .exe of the application and mail it to my client, he says he is getting error:"run-time error '713' - Application-defined or object-defined error".
Please help me.
Thanks
Prathima

Welcome to VBF!
You must create an installer for your app and not just the .exe for you to be able to deploy it, take a look at Package and Deployment wizard which comes with MS Studio...

Re: "run-time error '713' - Application-defined or object-defined error"
Hi,
I did create package for the application.
But the size came to 21 MB, which I am not able to mail through Yahoo. Any Idea, if I can send only the needed dlls and ocx so that he can run the application?
Also, the application is yet 80% complete and am sending it to be tested.
Thanks

Prathima01,
Something is not registered. What did you use to create your installer? Did you find all of the dependencies? Please read Installer Problems in my signature for some possible help.
I Googled and found this
Is it possible to see your vbp and the exe created from it?

Genius can not be scheduled!!! Remember A clear answer requires a clear question!!!
Isn't it strange that the Internet is based on reading, yet most people don't bother to read all that is written to them????
True enough!!! I didn't read the thread after that day.
Actually, I created an installable package and sent it to my client. He is still having some problem with installing it.
Will get back to you once I get to know the problem.
Thanks
Prathima
