Don't try to cover your ass by pretending it was really a compliment. Apologize to my boy Dennis.

  2. #22962
Everybody knows that I think Dennis is a cool dude. *searches for kiss animation for make-up but notes that he is not gay*

That's a good start. Yep, Dennis is cool...but I need to see three little words typed by your fingers. You know what those words are! Or even two if you use a contraction.

I'm going to lunch. I expect to see an apology when I come back!

  6. #22966
    I'm sorry

Marriage - is not a word, but a sentence.

    *shudder*

I'd use that equivalent of a emoticon that Parksie uses but I can't find it.

I don't know, I haven't given it to her yet.

Oops that didn't really come out quite right, did it...

They say that mum's car might yet be a write-off.

It is, but I don't get to see her until next week - it's just not possible for me to get there.

Ghost - yeah it does. I'd much rather be there now

I spoke to her a day or so ago, so that was nice

That means it probably will be. Mine was going to be written off, but the cost of repair was almost exactly the same as the value of the vehicle, so they agreed after a bit of persuasion to repair it instead.

    Hmmm.

They say the rocker box (whatever that is) is cracked, and they can't test the rest of the engine until they get a new one in.

Nope - still on the courtesy car at the moment (which we get until either the car's repaired or the new one arrives - the idea is that if the other's a writeoff we have to buy a new one immediately to keep the courtesy car for the time it takes).

I'm assuming that a courtesy car is the same thing as a loaner....usually a gutless wonder.

    1 litre Polo

Although, it's not totally gutless - I got it up to 90 on the motorway (and boy did that engine scream - nearly 6000rpm )

Won't be doing that again for a while...it's got pretty good acceleration past 4500rpm.
