I'm here, just semi-busy (like the server). Yeah, i'm getting more busy messages than the last couple of days, but not as bad as last week.
Next post should be number 14,000.

Congratulation CyberSurfer on the assembly stuff. What processors do they teach you on these days?

x86...it was just a really simple password checking program which hid the inputted data with "*" and threw you out after three wrong attempts...

Thats cool. It takes too long to program anything else in assembly
We did 6809E, and then 68000. x86 would have been far more applicable

Good plot recovery Katie!!
As for your son, why don't you put him on a diet of dry bread and water till he gets a job. And you guys can have pizza and all sorts of fun stuff just to bug him (I'm glad I didn't have to pass any sort of phsycological test to become a father!).

TO katie:
As a responsible parent,...
The last thing you would want to do is tease him...
young minds can be easily broken and can result in dire
consequences if they get access to weapons.
Keep all kinds of weapons away from him...
Even If you are not Interested in Encouraging him don't
ever try to tease him....

We are DEFINITELY 100% a NON-weapons household.......completely against them as a matter of fact. I am teasing with you guys and I'm sure that all the "suggestions" were in jest, but I am not teasing Ian at all. He is being punished by taking away access to his car...he is quite upset by this but I need to do something!!!!!!

So Active, Parents take the car away from you by any chance? Thinking of killing them? Thats not natural behaviour you know Most kids (even American ones - despite what you see on the telly) don't turn out to be physco's.

Besides, do you really think we would do such a thing to our kids. It's not like we're monsters or anything. I for one think I'm very patient with my child. I rarely beat her more than 2 or 3 times a week, and only when she deserves it (bed wetting, crying, not eating her greens etc.)

But What we hear about kids shooting each other at school
is not normal either
The best thing in such cases is to be ..be good to him so
that he can reciprocate it to everybody !

I agree that what you hear about kids these days is quite alarming. As a parent....which I'm willing to bet you aren't Active...I know how difficult it is to be "good" to your kids when they don't return the favor. I think I am being good to him by taking away his car because it is my job as a parent to teach him that actions have consequences so that he doesn't go out and shoot someone when he gets mad but stops and thinks instead. If I just let him do whatever he pleased in an effort to be good to him I would actually be harming him. I'm not beating him or abusing him emotionally. I am trying to do my job right as a parent!!!!
