Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

Christ! I thought he was more like 30 or something, 21 is nothing.
Totally bogus. He really must have hit hard times.
I bet he'll be writing some kickass app for God's mainframe by now

An update:
He died from heart failure, as a result of an overdose of painkillers.
There isnt really much else I can say. Thanks for everything everyone has said.
He was a most awesome guy.

No, the inquest has been put on hold, waiting for some more IRC logs from when we last spoke to him.

If you don't mind me asking, do you have any indication to why he did this?

Yes, there are reasons, if you don't mind though I'd rather not go into them. Suffice it to say he was very unhappy, but being the person he was could tell hardly anyone, which just compounded his lonliness.

Me and Mike used to talk a lot in the past... sortof lost touch a year ago. I emailed him on a couple of addresses and left a message on his mobile phone. Nobody answered the phone.

Parksie is causing me to lose my mind! Grrrrrrr
Many users now have the same avatar, the one I am using.
I keep seeing this, thinking it's a post I made, then stare at the screen thinking "I didn't type that? Was I that drunk/stoned last night I can't remember posting!!!"
Then I realise it's someone elses post
Haha

At first I was thinking I hadn't spoke to that much, then I realised the duck wasn't always his smilie. Once I remembered he used to have a gif using all the VBF smilies , I realiesed I had spoke to him more than I thought, mostly when I was a new member though .

It's times like this you'd wish the person could see how much he's missed, and that would make him regret his actions... a lot of the big forums he were on are sorrowing for him, and this is only on the internet... imagine him in real life... he must've been great...
:mike: - this one's for you mike...
