virus???? [ RESOLVED]

hi,

why is it that when i open my mcafee virus scanner, it would just open for a while and then close? this is also what happens when im opening my msconfig or regedit. im using XP. could u help me with this one?

The first thing many Visuses do is disable virus scanners - so you may well have a virus.


When a friend of mine had the Sassar worm it completely screwed her Virus Scanner. I got round the problem by downloding a free virus cleaner from avast which wiped the virus. Here's the link - hope it helps:
