Give me a name
I like my job very much (and it is my primary focus), but its darn expensive living here, and I'd like to make some extra cashola (wouldn't we all?) so I am going to try to find some small businesses that I can develop small simple systems for. I would do this on the side in my spare time and I am sure that there are many members here who have traveled similar routes. I'd like to come up with a company name for some business cards and maybe a web site down the road if anything pans out, but I must confess, I am having a hard time thinking of one. I have owned two businesses in the past - both of which were named by myself upon much deliberation and with a degree of pride I suppose ....but this time around - screw pride....I want input
I would like my new company name to reflect the following images that I see as those of my potential clients:
1. Database application needs
2. Small Business
3. Entrepreneur (independent, self-reliant, creative, hard-working)
4. Save money (watch money, control overhead, monitor cashflow)
5. Affordable for a small business budget
6. Reliable
7. Time saving
8. Easy, simple to use
Here are some of the (crummy) examples I have mustered thus far:
Simple Solutions
I'm The Boss Solutions
Small Business Applications
(see my problem ?
lacking imagination here.....i'm in big trouble...any ideas are welcome
(even funny ones)

Why do you need a name?
Use yours. That should be enough along with the phrase independent software developer. People understand. If you are passing these cards around, you are going to be the one to convey those qualities first hand. That is way more important than a business name.
That is my opinion...but then again, I am not very imaginative either. My site name proves that.

How about
Stealth Cybermetrics

Silent Logic
Dunno if they reflect any aspects of your work but they sound ace
Also, anything in latin tends to be well received as long as its obvious as to its spelling and pronounciation.

Have you considered just using "Ahara"?

And you could copy the Maple Leafs' logo, that'll attract a lot of frenzied customers.

ok....now I got the ball rolling....thanks for the suggestions....so far I think I like "On-Time Solutions" (thanks Marty) is my favorite....I did think about going with just my name, but in the past, people have always confused it with O'Hara and I am constantly reminding even my friends that it is with an 'A' and not an 'O' and that's why I decided to try and come up with a company name. My second business was a pub....I called it "The Monkey House" (it was an alternative restaurant/bar catering mostly to university students)....Everyone loved the name and found it catchy....got lots of write ups in local papers, etc....I do lend a certain creedence to an effective name - regardless of what type of business. I like "Silent Logic" too....I think it evokes the image of simplicity I'm looking for.....thanks for the amusement as well (real tempting to go with NOTMS...although they'll probably still sue the pants off me!)
still open to suggestions if anyone has one

I'm surprised at your surprise!
Shouldn't you be more surprised that I didn't bring up the Mother of Joe in this post?
