I suppose he could have had one of those extendible arm window cleaning sponge-broom thingies. A really long one.

    The Apollo in Manchester

They have only advertised the 8th but some friends of mine found out she is also playing on the 9th and tickets are still available for that date (or they were last week).

Good old Kyles eh! Marvelous. My mates went to see the Quo last night, just to take the piss, but I 've got a sneaky suspision that they loved it, they came back in autographed T shirts the lot.

Well they're not all women, it's 3 (3?) sisters and one brother I think. And they don't really live up to my idea of a rocker

Saw them on the music awards and

They rocked last night! I couldn't tell you what song they did though. Like I said...I hadn't heard them before. They interviewed the girls but they didn't talk to the guys.

Creed cleaned up on all the awards. They sang "With Open Arms", "What If" and "Higher". "What If" is an amazing song. Have you heard it? If not, you should definitely check it out!

Okay, maybe I will tomorrow. Right now I need sleep... 6:21 pm and I haven't slept yet. Was up all night doing coursework to be handed in today. And I still managed to pop in here and brighten everyone's day with my hilarious remarks and magnetic personality. What a guy.

    Need.... sleep.... bed... *Mutter*

I know this thread is 8 months old but...

    Less Than Jake
    Reel Big Fish
    Mighty Mighty Bosstones
    Operation Ivy
    Weezer
    Rage Against The Machine
    Goldfinger
    Greenday
    The Presidents Of The U.S.A.
Blink 182 (their early stuff and a couple of recent songs)

The following are bands that are probably good but I haven't heard enough of them:
    Buck-O-Nine
    Skankin' Pickle
    Head P.E.
    Smashmouth

    Well that'll do for now

Let's hear it for Dire Straits

From some years ago, got to be Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Jethro Tull and Queen, maybe the Moody Blues. Uriah Heep maybe?

I loved the BeeGees the first time they got famous: I've got a 'best of' or similar LP (remember them, the black plastic thing with 2 sides) of theirs from about 1968. Since then they've been famous at least twice more: gotta win the prize for hanging in. And they're Ozzies aren't they Beacon? Or was that ON-J.

But really the best has to be Dire Straits.

Favourites at the moment? .... I go with all you Coors or is it Corrs whatever fans, and also not just because of their music. Shania Twain . . . .

My son's just got WestLife's CD for his birthday and I must say I quite like it. At least they don't look like thugs. But they all look so bloody young . . .

But I'll go with Gary, Lonnie Donnigan was great but I only remember 'My old man's a dustman.....'

But since when is Manchester a capital of anything. Well except football of course. And the world's largest F&C shop's there too isn't it? And rain I suppose.

See Bloody Americans thread for further really daft debate on capitals....

    The Barron Knights...!
He fell down on his can
    And his aerosol went bang
And all they found was his flat cap and his clogs...
They don't do 'em like that any more.

Never argue with fools, they will only drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Q: How do you tell an experienced hacker from a novice?
A: The latter thinks there's 1000 bytes in a kilobyte, while the former is sure there's 1024 meters in a kilometer
