Question Russian games on English computers..

No idea where to put this.. but here goes.

I recently bought Heroes of Might and Magic IV for my PC.. problem is the game is Russian. Evidently the guy selling it on eBay seems to think it will run on an American PC (the game itself is even in English--go figure) but the install instructions and game data are in Russian.

Since I know Russian I didn't think it was going to be a problem, but the stupid game won't install on my win2k platform.. says something about it being made for "Russian computers" and terminates.

I should just buy the game again in a non-Russian format, but does anyone know if there is there a way to get this thing to work on my "English" system now?

I had the same problem with another program, although mine was dutch or something. I never found a way to get it to work. Maybe you should set the Windows language to Russian.

http://messenger.msn.com/support/changelang.asp I found this on a search engine, and Russian is on the list. Since I dont speak Russian I could quite figure out what the steps were.

    edit:
Just in case that doesn't workout I just found another way. It says that you can change when editting user info. By user info I mean like how many users can log onto your computer under seperate names. Does that make sense (I dont think I phrased it well)?
