Anyone got any BSD Experience?
i just installed BSD (from http://www.freeBSD.org) on my P100 w/ 32 mb ram and so on... i was wondering if anyone here has any BSD experience so i could ask some questions if and when they arise? currently i'm struggling thru XFree86 X Windows... and tips and/or suggestions are welcome
okay, first question:
i tried to build XFree86 3.3.6 and it said that i was missing "Tk 4.2 or 8.x" i searched google and only found "tcl\tk", is this what i need to build it? and if so where can i get a FreeBSD port? i found one for NetBSD but not for FreeBSD. willNetBSD ports work for FreeBSD or does it need to be explicitly stated that it is a FreeBSD port?
