The Quote in Question

"If the trumpet give an uncertain sound," Paul wrote in I Corinthians 14:8, "who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

VVB, you truely wear the patience of any sane man. I do not nor ever wish to "learn how to fish" if the fish I catch are all "The one that got away" kind of lies and falsehoods. If you wish to make a statement do so... you cannot teach me anything I have not already learned and discarded in this area.

After reading those verses I find that it perfectly confuses the issue and does not even come CLOSE to providing an answer as to why we have 100+ denominations all reading from the SAME book.

By your words and the verses you pointed out this would mean that 99 of them all have it wrong and will rot in hell while the other 1 (whoever that happens to be) will be saved because they followed the TRUE meaning.

It was once asked what contradictions were in the Bible and now someone has posted a heap of them yet you will stand there and without even bothering to confirm their validity for yourself will pick at the bits you can, ignore the bits you can't and when in doubt fall back on your lame "Those versions are lacking... MY versions are better"

And still you wont answer the question of what you would do when your precious "bible" is shown up as the fraud it is.

Why I bother with such stubborn and unsightful people I will never know.... I always knew I could be pig-headed but I am realising now I'm not even in the running for the title
