    No doubt .Paul's suggestion is the smart way to achieve your aim.
    Here's the easy way:

    Take a Form1, make it the size you need, add 1 Label, and 1 Timer.

    I just tried that and of course it worked, I had to re-open vs2019 to try it.
    But I'd swear that didn't happen before, just the 'RegistryKey is not defined' message, I do always look for suggested...

    I like the idea of 'Dimming out' Check(sender), I did it for all four subs (TextBox1.KeyUp, TextBox2.KeyUp, TextBox3.KeyUp and TextBox4.KeyUp) and still got a Beep from each TextBox.

    I suspect that not setting the AllowDrop property was the mismatch problem. :blush:
