  1. Re: Can a ToolboxBitmap be extracted from a UserControl's OCX file?

  6. Re: Themes, RGB Colors, and Impact on Forms / Controls

    VB6 doesn't just use RGB, but system colors as well. The 4th byte indicates whether it's RGB or system color. When you change any color property, you have two tabs: Palate(RGB), or System. The 4th...

    GetEntireFile alone(without "()") is the temp result variable, while GetEntireFile() is a function call. You are getting an error when using GetEntireFile(1) because VB treated "1" as a parameter,...

    Re: 3D Math: how draw a 3D cube?

    Correct, but you are missing "*":

    z = (x*L-L*x2D) / x2D

    Or:

    z = L * (x-x2D) / x2D

    You have to do that on your own, and I am sure that you will have many other questions in the future as...

    First, you are better of using something like DirectX or another game engine rather than reinventing the wheel, because they do other tasks that you might find that you get to do latter. With that in...
  13. Re: Ping a program running on some IP via the internet

  14. Re: Why hasn't anyone used VB6 to develop a better WebBrowser than IE?

    I know, I meant to say besides supporting modern things, it needs/has support for older stuff, including broken HTML pages, so it has code for more than just supporting current technologies.
  15. Re: Why hasn't anyone used VB6 to develop a better WebBrowser than IE?

    IE supports old HTML, DOM, and JavaScript. Writing a VB7 would be a better use of my time(not that I am doing that).

    Re: Overflow unless Cstr used
