    on error goto Escape
    TryAgain:

  4. Re: How to close winsock connection when turned off wifi ?

I am sure that at his server side, that check will be good all the time. He just asked to drop quickly a dead silent socket at server side. NOT CLIENT SIDE.

  13. Re: How to close winsock connection when turned off wifi ?

If you want faster , you must implement PING TIME OUT AT your aplication com protocol.

I have mine set to send a PING message if it was silent by 45 second, and disconnect at 1 minute 30 seconds...
  14. Re: How to close winsock connection when turned off wifi ?

Silent connections will fail after PING TIME OUT at TCP protocol... it is not an instant event.
  15. Re: Sockets reading remote IP returns wrong string sometimes

Anyone using a socket to transmitt Strings is simply a newbie. It is the worst thing you can do, not only, it will be sensitive to region locals (the ANSI table), doing peers from differents regions...
