  1. Re: IF Statement that is True for dates within 3 months of the current date

Always exactly dd/mm/yyyy - the Date field is populated by the program, not directly by the user.
  2. Re: IF Statement that is True for dates within 3 months of the current date

And there's the blindingly obvious thing I missed! The Date field in the Database is only a string. Changing it to Date/Time fixed the problem. Thanks :)

However, the client already has the app in...

Couldn't think of a more exciting title!

I'm trying to write a program to calculate monthly interest on a loan, adding interest on once a month based on the anniversary of the loan date. The first step to that is to calculate how many...
  11. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component with extra objects, controls and functions

Perfect! Thank you very much :)
  12. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component with extra objects, controls and functions

This was the problem. I only want it to print one copy. It's printing two by itself. Totally understand if you're moving on with it but if it was a simple bug to fix could you please make one last...
  13. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component with extra objects, controls and functions

    Hi

Any luck with the problem of PrintNow printing two copies (or is there a way to specify the number of copies so I can set it to one as a workaround?). Small example attached

  14. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component with extra objects, controls and functions

Now works perfectly. Thank you very much!

EDIT - Almost works perfectly. The report now displays perfectly but when sending it directly to print using PrintNow it now prints 2 copies of the report...
  15. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component with extra objects, controls and functions

Hi, sorry for the delay, been away for a couple of weeks. As requested please find attached a very simple test project demonstrating the problem with the formatting. Paper is set to A4. The only way...
  16. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component that provides print preview and many other features

Found a work around for the ButtonEx problem, the CentreOwner property is respected if you explicitly reference the owning form when opening. Eg to open form2 from form1:

    form2.show...
  17. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component that provides print preview and many other features

The printer problem actually hasn't occured in vbextra since but has occured in printing processes not using vbExtra and without a FlexFN control on the form. I am now thinking that a Windows 10...
  18. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component that provides print preview and many other features

Apologies again over the confusion with the earlier thread. I did think the printer errors had resolved themselves with the updated version, but it seems not. I still haven't been able to recreate...
  19. Re: Install a program made in vb6 on windows 10

I came across this too. Although the main installer is shown as not responding it's the MDAC installer which has frozen. If you keep trying to switch focus to it the system will eventually give you...

  23. Re: [VB6] vbExtra: a component that provides print preview and many other features

Brilliant! Finally an easy way to print flexgrids.

Small question, if you export to Excel on a FlexFn object, the save as common dialog has the file type translated into Spanish. Is there any way...
  24. Re: No troll. What are the (legitimate) reasons people are still using VB6 ?

    1. There is a lot to be said for using mature software which is well understood with a fixed feature set where it is clear what it does and doesn't do. You can't say that for new languages which are...

  30. Re: VbYesNo popup keeps coming back when code compiled but works in IDE

  31. [RESOLVED] VbYesNo popup keeps coming back when code compiled but works in IDE

A bit of an odd one.
