    Re: .net Core possibly a proper vb6 replacement

    Becuase you get 2 benefits with .net core not previously available:

    1. native exe that runs faster (similar to vb6 exe)
    2. cross platform to be able to run on linux etc..

    those two benefits...

    .net Core possibly a proper vb6 replacement

    Hello Group,

    Not sure anyone would have any deeper insight than what google provides, but it appears MS is going full circle back to native compiling with .net core

    It also looks like .net core...

  7. Design Question? Interface usage in .NET advantages, appy theory in VB6 apps

    Hope this question is not too off topic.

    Occasionally I look at exe's written in .net using a de-compiler ( fun sport). I use it to look at the code to observe design techniques just so I can...

  21. Poll: Re: IDE first vs Compiler first, your opinion, just pie-in-the-sky stuff.

    3. Clang -llvm
    4. embargadero c++ compiler

    All these...
