  1. Re: [Solved-ish]Either I am an idiot or VB6 is. - It's me.

I kludged up a proof of concept where I'm able to make the top label seem right justified by setting the left of it to 1400 - a constant. This works for two digit numbers just fine and is expandable...
  2. Re: [Solved-ish]Either I am an idiot or VB6 is. - It's me.

    Sure you did. And thanks.
  3. Re: [Solved-ish]Either I am an idiot or VB6 is. - It's me.

Well boys and girls! ColinE66 nailed it.

I changed the wayward label's justification from right justified to left as the lower stationary label is and two things happened. This top label's left of...
  4. Re: Either I am an idiot or VB6 is :-)

That I tried initially without joy.

Stand by, It has been at least cornered. I'm going to update the thread.
  5. Re: Either I am an idiot or VB6 is :-)

    Hmm,

    Stumped the band. :)
  6. Re: Either I am an idiot or VB6 is :-)

No. The bottom label is left justified as it can be 0 - 5.
The top "problem" label is right justified and be 0 - 999 filling in from the left like so when it is "16"

    Here is the...
  7. Re: Either I am an idiot or VB6 is :-)

Well, I set both labels to opaque so I could see thier extents. While the top label was wider, it wasn't by much. Nevertheless, I copied the initial left and the width from the bottom's label to the...
  8. Re: Either I am an idiot or VB6 is :-)

    No!

    I should do that huh.
  9. Re: Either I am an idiot or VB6 is :-)

Oh yeah I forgot to mention. Yesterday I ran a for loop spitting out the container and the label name as pairs with debug.print. The both came out as having the same form name as the parent.

    Like...
  10. [Solved-ish]Either I am an idiot or VB6 is. - It's me.

I have an active-X EXE that runs in a docked appbar.

    137183

The label that says "0" to the right of Units Detected has a left value set in code of 1400. This must be in twips? as that's a high...

  15. Re: [RESOLVED] How to make a form with round corners ?

Thanks for this. It works great!

Is it possible to have only the two top corners of the form rounded?

  19. Re: VB6 Deploy Depenencies issue on Win7 64 bit.

I can open a cmd windows as administrator and do a filname / registerserver so the registration is ok
The registery entrys all good. It's not a registration issue. AFAIK

    I can even see class...
  20. Re: VB6 Deploy Depenencies issue on Win7 64 bit.

Ya know, the dependency file is what I'll persue.

Seems a bit over zealous though. As it my program won't run without a truckload of stuff - which seems as though it's just not so.
    I will walk...

  28. Re: Left Padding with Space chars to align strings horizonaly won't work?

Really? - I'll sure try that.

    I'll let you all know.
  29. Re: Left Padding with Space chars to align strings horizonaly won't work?

Yes you're correct - that was supposed to be a comment but it looks like I doubled it up - sorry for that.
And there are indeed 3 spaces but it did not format correctly here for whatever reason.

  30. Re: Left Padding with Space chars to align strings horizonaly won't work?

Oh, Inter-string Color changing and hyperlinking

  31. Re: Left Padding with Space chars to align strings horizonaly won't work?

Yes. I am not padding with zeros though. The are ascii spaces.

    SrcString = "123"
    PadStr = " " '' 3 spaces
    PaddedString = PadStr + SrcString

This will not bump the 123 three charater spaces...
  32. Re: Left Padding with Space chars to align strings horizonaly won't work?

Because the HyperLabel Control does things I need that the native label does not support.
  33. Solved::Left Padding with Space chars to align strings horizonaly won't work?

I have a horizontal array of Hyper-labels (OCX that does not support center alignment) that need to be 5 chars wide and all caps to horizontally align properly.

I tried left padding with spaces...

  37. Re: VB6 App's ICON in the Program Files(x86) folder

Thanks for that link Bonnie but I'm afraid that it didn't work for this problem.
    Perhaps I was not clear.

I'm an idiot and was very confused.
