    One could also do something like so

    tblScannedDocuments
    - DocumentID
    - Type (Type of document)
    - ForeignId (This can point to different tables depending on the type of document )

    Ok, a little update:

    The questionmarks @ the end is solved by replacing the .GetBuffer methode of the MemoryStream with .ToArray. The .GetBuffer returns chuncs of 256 Bits.

    Right click on the datagridview, Select edit columns.... double click on your column and look for the ToolTip property

    I think your on the right track....
    Just use DataGridViewHitTestType.ColumnHeader or DataGridViewHitTestType.RowHeade instead of DataGridViewHitTestType.Cell

    First of, On error ... is vb6, the replacement in .Net is try / catch

    Second one could check if a value is null by using IsDbNull Funcion. This way the error doesnt occures
