    Full agreement.

In fact I'd go further and say that good CAD tools can make a decent engineer into someone who is able to represent the real world with some accuracy. This is not to say an...

  17. Poll: Re: Unscientific survey - Tacos - corn or flour?

They use "Taco Bell" brand tacos on the ISS because they basically keep for 6 months unrefridgerated. And they are good for patching leaks in the CO2 scrubbers too.

    Hey Pena :) LTNS.

Great observation. Yes, the forum model does have the ability to maintain a thread for a long time without seeking a specific end state - things can evolve for many months...

    Exactly.

I think that amalgamating several forums into one will simply dilute search results and be counter-productive.
  25. Re: An observation about many of the technical forums and thread visibility.

No, that is not what I meant. When someone loads up a forum site and sees 3 threads in the listing, they are going to go elsewhere immediately. Maybe not everyone but many people, because people...

  29. Re: An observation about many of the technical forums and thread visibility.

I disagree, people have been coming to VBF for many different topics for many years. Just because the site has "VB" in it's name doesn't mean that they shouldn't diversify. BurgerKing sell fries...

  33. An observation about many of the technical forums and thread visibility.

The thing that strikes me is that if you go and visit the C/C++ forum you get (at time of writing) you see in the thread list precisely 5 threads. This is bad in itself. However THREE of those are...
