Re: Can VB function return a UDT (structure)

I just saw that i quoted too much

    a declaration in VB6 like

    Dim Something(16) As SomethingElse

without the use of Option Base will give you an array with 17 members (0 To 16)

    that's...

    Re: C pointers in VB

Elroy, my comment was more for the suggestion to use VarPtr and do something with it within VB6.

    that's a recipe for a desaster....

    Re: C pointers in VB

As Bruce McKinney said: If you get a Pointer from somewhere (API-Return, VarPtr, StrPtr, ObjPtr) you can do only one thing with it: pass it on to an API.

Still my first place to look:...

Re: Can VB function return a UDT (structure)

If you don't use Option Base, then 0 To 15 is wrong, 0 To 16 is correct
  5. Re: run vbs from vba and output results back to vba

The only way i can think of now.
If you have paths incl. blanks you'll have to put the complete path into quotes (Don't forget to escape them)
  6. Re: Locating the position of four consecutive bytes in the header of a binary file

If you read the header into a string-variable, wouldn't you need to convert the string to ASCII, since Strings in VB are Unicode?

    Re: VB6 Highlight Textbox Contents

Why not use SelStart and SelLength directly inside the Keypress-Event?
  8. Re: MDB Relationships "Showing" After Added through VB6 with the DAO

  9. Re: MDB Relationships "Showing" After Added through VB6 with the DAO

After thinking about it more, and playing around with this relationships-form, it kind of reminds of a MDI-form and its children.
Another way might be, that the tables kind of look like a listbox or...
  10. Re: MDB Relationships "Showing" After Added through VB6 with the DAO

Well, to be honest, since i use access only as a backend, and access itself only for designing the initial database, i don't bother with the relations-show-me-everything-thingy :-)
    but i got...
  11. Re: How to add many .bas modules to project

Yes, if you want to import the original module, but if you want a copy, because you know you'll have to change something in it, you have to copy the module(s) manually beforehand.

    By coding a...
  12. Re: MDB Relationships "Showing" After Added through VB6 with the DAO

Thinking logically about it, i'm pretty sure that what you're looking for has nothing to do with DAO (or RDO, ADO, CIA, NSA or whatever 3-letter-abbreviation) but with Access itself,
    since you can...
  13. Re: How to add many .bas modules to project

Why not just code a small tool?
    Something like:
    1) Please select your VBP-File
    2) Please select the BAS (or other Modules) you want to import to the previously selected VBP-File (Multiselect!...

Re: Help with using Array and/or Loop

  38. Re: Problem : Generating Unique Number (too slow)

I think your problem's in the datatype, since you're using MAX on a Textfield (think sorting by string)
