  1. VS 2005 Re: The "ResolveAssemblyReference" task failed unexpectedly

Sounds like what you've done was to upgrade and existing installation, rather than doing a side by side installation (which would allow you to run multiple versions of SQL Server.)

    The problem is...
  2. VS 2008 Re: new form instance - problems: Save my.settings and refer to control in new instan

Might want to re-read the original post... he didn't say PARENT... he said PRESENT...

But you're still right, the forms should be as agnostic of other forms as possible.

    I't probably set...
  3. VS 2013 Re: Changing the property value of an item that is part of a List(Of T)

    For Each D in Stupid
    D.Dummy = "New Value"

IF that's not working, then we need more concrete examples of what you're REALLY doing. I'm suspecting that there is more to this.

Re: How can Build a program like UPX

Pretty much anything is possible given enough time and money. That said, the question should also be, "is it worth it?" Sounds like there is already something that does what you want... so why...

    Re: and clause in query

The short answer is no... if you need compound cases like that, it all needs to be moved down into the when clause as digitalshaman has shown.

Re: Read Access Table Into Array

It's going to return a 2-d array... columns and rows... so aFoo(x) won't work either... you need the second element.
aFoo(1,x) will give you the first column of the x-th row.

    Oh, that also...

Don't have an actual answer for you but just wanted to point out that if you're writing this in PowerPoint, then you need the VBA section. Currently you've posted in the VB.NET, which isn't going to...

    Re: subquery

That makes no sense because subqueries are generally less efficient than a join.

At any rate, your sub query would be to select the ID and the total amount, grouped by the id. Then you would join...

  22. Re: [RESOLVED] Need some kind of ROW trick in a VIEW

  23. Re: [RESOLVED] Need some kind of ROW trick in a VIEW

Not that I discount that it works, but what about the gaps? Just for argument's sake the max copycount is 5, but there are only two rows... isn't that still only going to return 1 & 2? IT doesn't...

    Re: ADO.Net Entity Data Model

That is a separate question that deserves its own thread. But the short answer is that it's a setting, something about the schema... I don't use the EDM, so I'm not sure what it is.

  25. Re: Need some kind of ROW trick in a VIEW

well, as long as they have at least SQL Server 2005, CTEs are supported.

  26. Re: Need some kind of ROW trick in a VIEW

But you could use a Table Function, no? The TF could select out the max number, use the recursive CTE to generate the list & return it...

VS 2010 Re: Transparent Form border problem
