    Re: Time Difference

tg, that's pure math you're talking about :-)

It's funny how many people use computers, and don't have a clue about maths, considering the word Computer derives from the latin verb computare (=to...
  2. Re: Printing graphics, text, etc. with high clarity. Is it possible?

Question from the sidelines: Have you tried the other way around?
Reading to what resolution your printer is set?

    The Printer-Object has a PrintQuality-Property
  3. MsOf10 Re: Need a VBA Macro to re-arrange the Data in a specified format

I've taken a look at his file, and it's IMO a lot of work (merged cells, you have to skip rows, you have to access fixed rows and what not).

at 100% concentration, and not being disturbed during...

  7. Re: Wait for a smart card with SCardGetStatusChange ... and so?

If i understand it correctly it works by polling, meaning kind of an infinte loop, always checking the incoming data, and if the data meets the criteria, calling your specified function(s) to do with...
  8. Re: Finding a substring in a Word document

The only way i can think of right now off the bat, is to go from the word-text to really find the first mentioned month (to avoid exactly what DM says), meaning:

Putting all text from the word...

  10. MsOf13 Re: How to make “Choose location to save dialog in VBA Powerpoint”

    You need the OPENFILENAME-structure
search for it on the net. Ton's of examples (in the short time i only found german websites with complete samples)

i'm off now. See you monday
  11. Re: Can I copy all properties from one control to another in s single statement?

Well, IMO the first step to accomplish something like the OP wants to is working with a control-Array.
that way you'll avoid at least the trap with the Name of the control.
    everthing else like DM...
  12. Re: Can I copy all properties from one control to another in s single statement?

This whole thing is a recipe for a disaster.

What's going to happen with Read-Only-Properties?
What about the Top, Left, Width, height-properties? Copying them from one CommandButton to another...
  13. MsOf13 Re: How to make “Choose location to save dialog in VBA Powerpoint”

Drat! Didn't know that, since i use Powerpoint once in a decade.

Well, that leaves you with the purist way.
  14. MsOf13 Re: How to make “Choose location to save dialog in VBA Powerpoint”

    Two ways:
    1) The "purist" way: GetSaveFileName-API
    2) The "recorded macro" way

    1) http://www.ex-designz.net/apidetail.asp?api_id=114
    2) Start recording a macro, export the slide by hand the way...

Re: Finding word on extracted Text File

Yep, my code just addresses the issue from Post #8 (which IMO is far away from the issue in Post #1).
I don't address if, let's say the "<" character comes up in a different field like User,...

Re: How to Show Printer Dialog Box

I don't know what your Problem is.
The PrintDlg-API returns 0 if there is an error processing the call or if the user clicked on cancel.

    RetVal = PrintDlg(PD)

If RetVal = 0 Then Exit Sub

Nevermind that i see at least 3 errors in his code so far

Re: Can VB function return a UDT (structure)

I just saw that i quoted too much

    a declaration in VB6 like

    Dim Something(16) As SomethingElse

without the use of Option Base will give you an array with 17 members (0 To 16)

    that's...

    Re: C pointers in VB

As Bruce McKinney said: If you get a Pointer from somewhere (API-Return, VarPtr, StrPtr, ObjPtr) you can do only one thing with it: pass it on to an API.

Still my first place to look:...

Re: Can VB function return a UDT (structure)

If you don't use Option Base, then 0 To 15 is wrong, 0 To 16 is correct
  25. Re: run vbs from vba and output results back to vba

The only way i can think of now.
If you have paths incl. blanks you'll have to put the complete path into quotes (Don't forget to escape them)
  26. Re: Locating the position of four consecutive bytes in the header of a binary file

If you read the header into a string-variable, wouldn't you need to convert the string to ASCII, since Strings in VB are Unicode?

  29. Re: MDB Relationships "Showing" After Added through VB6 with the DAO

After thinking about it more, and playing around with this relationships-form, it kind of reminds of a MDI-form and its children.
Another way might be, that the tables kind of look like a listbox or...
  30. Re: MDB Relationships "Showing" After Added through VB6 with the DAO

Well, to be honest, since i use access only as a backend, and access itself only for designing the initial database, i don't bother with the relations-show-me-everything-thingy :-)
    but i got...
  31. Re: How to add many .bas modules to project

  32. Re: MDB Relationships "Showing" After Added through VB6 with the DAO

Thinking logically about it, i'm pretty sure that what you're looking for has nothing to do with DAO (or RDO, ADO, CIA, NSA or whatever 3-letter-abbreviation) but with Access itself,
    since you can...
  33. Re: How to add many .bas modules to project

Why not just code a small tool?
