  1. Re: Determine if a hidden form is modal

You're right. So I must have something else going on. Thanks.
  2. [RESOLVED] Determine if a hidden form is modal

As is well known, you can't show another form when a modal form is open. I have a situation where I want to open another form while several forms are hidden and one of the hidden forms was shown...

[RESOLVED] Center picturebox on a grid

I have a form which contains a mshflexgrid and I would like to center a small picturebox over that grid.

It's been a long time since I needed to do something like this and my old brain can't come...

Re: [VB] How to load a control at runtime.

Try this little demo. It's the way I do it. After clicking the main button 3 times you can click on the new ones that show up.

Re: [VB] How to load a control at runtime.

What I do is to add (for example) a command button and in the IDE set the Index to 0. That will create a control array. When you do that the header for the Click event will look like this and it...

  13. MsOf10 Re: Why does OnAction fire too soon?

I figured it out. I realized that I didn't need to pass the row from the right-click event and instead I could always refer to the ActiveCell. That allowed me to do this which works.

    Private Sub...
  14. MsOf10 Re: Why does OnAction fire too soon?

I was just sitting down to say that as I was getting ready for bed that I had an epiphany and that was that by calling the MoveRow as a function and doing it via .OnAction = MoveRow(Target) it...
  15. MsOf10 [RESOLVED] Why does OnAction fire too soon?

I have this piece of code whose purpose is to add a new option to the right-click context menu of an Excel cell. I intended that the MoveRow procedure fire when the "Move row" context menu item is...
  16. MsOf10 Re: Help adding Named Range via VBA

Thanks!! That was driving me nuts.
  17. MsOf10 [RESOLVED] Help adding Named Range via VBA

I have a VBA code line that says

    ActiveWorkbook.Names.Add Name:="X1_RANGE", RefersTo:="=Interval_Frequency!" & STARTCOL & STARTROW & ":" & strEndCol & STARTROW

    TheNamed range is deleted prior...

    Thanks.
  19. Re: [RESOLVED] Strange Problem with Thousands Separator

I found the problem. In File|Options|Advanced the 'Use system separators' checkbox had somehow become unchecked.
  20. [RESOLVED] Strange Problem with Thousands Separator

I'm running Windows XP and today I saw that my toolbar had disappeared so I rebooted. Now for some reason while my Regional settings (shown on the left) are correct, Excel 2010 is using the wrong...
  21. Re: Copy Visible Rows to Variant Array Without Looping

Sorry but you missed the key words in my title.
  22. Re: Copy Visible Rows to Variant Array Without Looping

Thanks but as I stated in my question I want to do it without looping. I have 9 different sets filtering criteria and I surely don't want to loop through 90,000 rows 9 times.
  23. Re: Copy Visible Rows to Variant Array Without Looping

That probably works for ranges and while I gave examples of what happens with the rng and Frng ranges, I really want to copy the values of the visible cells to a Variant array. That's normally done...
  24. Re: Copy Visible Rows to Variant Array Without Looping

That's pretty much what I did with

    Set rng = MySheet.AutoFilter.Range
  25. [RESOLVED] Copy Visible Rows to Variant Array Without Looping

I have an Excel 2010 worksheet with 90,000+ rows that I AutoFilter down to 20 rows. I'd like to copy those 20 visible rows to a variant array without having to loop through the 90,000 rows looking...
  26. Re: Help Needed Getting Started on New VB6 Add-In

I probably wouldn't have thought about the conditional compilation operators, so thanks. Let's see if I can do any operator:)
  27. Re: Help Needed Getting Started on New VB6 Add-In

Interesting idea. I've used sub-classing a couple of times. The challenge will be to get it to work in the IDE and stably.
  28. Help Needed Getting Started on New VB6 Add-In

I've written a half dozen or so add-ins for both VB6 and VBA and I'd like to be able to write one that completes "paired" operators. For example if a programmer types in "IF x = 1 Then" in the IDE...

  32. MsOf10 Re: Open Password Protected Excel Workbook From Access

It didn't change anything. Excel still prompts me for a password.
  33. MsOf10 Re: Open Password Protected Excel Workbook From Access

It must be my workbook (that I can't post here) because when I tried your code it didn't work but when I created a new workbook both your code and mine worked.
  34. MsOf10 Open Password Protected Excel Workbook From Access

MsOf10 Re: What's going on here?

OK, thanks, that helps. The Details sheet has a value of 20 in A3 and frmData.lblService.Caption contains "blah" (not really) so the filter only copies rows where the value in cells of the "blah"...
