    Re: Time Difference

    Again, check the DateDiff function in the help!
  2. Re: how to check if a option box is chekced

    Checking would be done like this:

    If Option1.Value Then
    ' Code for option 1
    ElseIf Option2.Value Then
    ' Code for option 2
    End If
  3. Re: how to check if a option box is chekced

    Normally at least one optionbutton is automatically selected when a form is shown.
    Or are the optionbuttons in different containers? (like in a frame or picturebox)

  5. Re: Code for program to re-structure itself?!

    Why do you think you need to change the actual executable?
    Maybe you need to think of a way to let your program react on data from a database, input file, user input or whatever.
    I never seen the...
  6. Re: virtual printer Thermal Printer Help

    Normally you should not bother about the printer installed.
    The printer object has a kind of canvas on which you can draw/print items.
    You can check it's paper width/heigh, perform a formfeed etc....

  8. Re: virtual printer Thermal Printer Help

    Are you really printing directly to an USB port?
    Or do you use the Printer object in which you set the needed printer?

    Please show some code.

    VB syntax is not different, but the usage and behavior of the "net" program can be different on different platforms.

    Re: Component for building boolean logic

    Of course that can be an option.
    But the company I work for rather spends some money on existing components than using our resources to create them ourselves.
    On the other hand if such a component...

    Re: Component for building boolean logic

    Thanks for the link Nightwalker.
    But I'm not looking for a method to evaluate a boolean expression, but a visual component which can be used by end users to create/build a boolean expression.

    Component for building boolean logic

    Does anyone know of an existing visual component for creating Boolean Logical conditions?
    Or has an idea how to create an usercontrol like this.

    It's kind of hierarchical structure like a tree...

  20. Re: how to get data from a form to wright in a text

    Is the output something you defined yourself or is it needed for some external program?
    Can you share a piece of sample data, not generated by your program
  21. Re: how to get data from a form to wright in a text

    You want the actual output to have quotations marks?
    So the output would look like:

    "0\t\t\t90\t1\t\tSome Text\t\t\tMore text\t\t\t\t\t"

    Where the \t represents the Tab character

    Or do...
  22. Re: how to get data from a form to wright in a text

    You should not use the " in the Print statement

    Print #NameFile, "0,,,txtpay.text,1,,CmbPay.Text,,,TxtCust,,,,,"

    Just:

    Print #NameFile, 0,,,txtpay.text,1,,CmbPay.Text,,,TxtCust,,,,,

  24. Re: Debug print doesn't show in the immediate window why?

    It does, but you don't specify anything but a blank in the Debug.Print statement, so a blank is printed to the immediate window.

    Debug.Print "salsa31"
  25. Re: [RESOLVED] how to check if a txt file is not in the path and create it

    Basic FileExists() function

    Public Function FileExists(ByVal sFileName As String) As Boolean
    FileExists = (Len(Dir$(sFileName)) > 0)
    End Function
  26. Re: how to check if a txt file is not in the path and create it

    The above code will create a file if it does not exist.

    What do you want to happen when a file does exists?

    Re: 2 Bytes Reading Problem

    If you want to read/write 2 bytes then use an integer, it's still the same value.
    VB uses signed integers, so it can be a negative decimal number representation. The actual bytes are still the same.
  30. Re: How to test an uninitialized dynamic array without using On Error Sentence

    The API is quite simple:

    Option Explicit

    Private Declare Function SafeArrayGetDim Lib "oleaut32" (ByRef saArray() As Any) As Long

    Private Sub Form_Load()
    Dim testarray() As String
