    it's not actually the exe that runs when you press F5... it's the .vshost.exe file that runs, but you are right about the exe being compiled.

    In your project folder, you'll find a Bin folder. In your Bin folder you'll find Debug and Release folders, either of which may contain you executable file

    that will only work if all of the vscrollbars are children of the tabpage, and not other container controls within the tabpage, and also the tabpage might need to be active

    I know of the problem. VS will exit sub if it encounters an exception in Form_Load.
    I'm not sure of the reason, but Try, Catch is the solution

    While debugging, a Try, Catch block can help you identify exceptions, which you can avoid in your eventual compiled code

    Where in your app was the code?
    If it was in Form_Load, that would explain why it does that.
    Unlike ident, I would recommend Try, Catch, in Form_Load
