  1. Re: Looping Through all records do not sum correctly why?

Do you remember the advice given to you in the past about 'looking at' a query before you run it? You REALLY need to start that practice.
In this case, set a variable, like mySQLQuery to your...
  2. Re: Looping Through all records do not sum correctly why?

    Hey Salsa...
Look up the Sum() function in your MS Access book. No need to loop through, simply query the sum of Qty for all returned records.

If you don't own a book on Access, check out this...

    Re: Reading A Textfile Problem

    Re: Reading A Textfile Problem

I understood that if the "number" in the part of the string (CXX) was 50, 51, 52, or 53 (larger possible?), then 'something' needed to be output to a textfile.

I understand your Left$ (and your...

    Re: Reading A Textfile Problem

Yeah, IFs and Cases both work.....just have to also check for 2nd and 3rd characters and if greater than 49, then add to a textfile.

Post #1 IS a bit confusing, and one has to kind of know how...

I haven't played with, seen, or used LaVolpe's code on that link, however, have you tried it in Form.Activate or Form.Initialize?

Yeah, depending upon final use/display. BUT, OP has been so inconsistent with posts (and ever so sketchy), doubt we will find that out.

Why resurrect an old thread...start a new one yourself and give a bit more detail about what you are desiring. Also, post your code where you have attempted to do your print.

Re: VB 6.0 for equipment automation

As you downloaded (and plan to use) Express 2013, you will NOT be using a VB6.o product. Visual Basic 2013 Express falls under the .NET suite of MS development tools. This forum has a separate area...
  22. Re: Can I copy all properties from one control to another in s single statement?

Thx DM.....I just couldn't do it either. PROBABLY there is a way, but as it would really be almost useless anyway, I'll give up...but at least I had fun trying!
  23. Re: need help with adding data to a table from a user form

Not a problem....this thread should be moving within 24 hours I'd guess.
But you can still post to it.
Please look at what I said though....you really don't need all those buttons. Just 'trap'...
  24. Re: need help with adding data to a table from a user form

AH!!!!! Microsoft Visual Basic 6.5 is ACTUALLY VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). NEVER used it.
This Thread belongs in the Office Development section (where you will find folks use still use...
  25. Re: Can I copy all properties from one control to another in s single statement?

Yeah, I know (I can list/separate the read-only props)...I can list properties of a control in code, but can't find the 'values' of those properties (in a loop) of a given control. Still trying,...
  26. Re: need help with adding data to a table from a user form

    ?
Version 6.5 of WHAT? If you are using VB6 (Visual Studio 6.0), that code should work on 32 and 64 bit machines...very simple application.

Are you opening the .VBP file by double-clicking on it...
  27. Re: Can I copy all properties from one control to another in s single statement?

Guess you are right, Zvoni....OP probably shouldn't copy ALL properties...copying (assigning) SOME is easy for sure, and probably should be the way to go...but I just thought of the CHALLENGE to do...
  28. Re: Can I copy all properties from one control to another in s single statement?

DM....I have been patiently waiting for OP to come back with his attempts and let us know if he solved this or not. I'm patiently waiting myself because I have tried 'everything' (big exaggeration...

Re: Finding word on extracted Text File

NOW, do not take Zvoni's code and just copy it. Earlier, I told you the way to do it was using instr(), but it appears you simply waited for someone to do it for you. While it will work for you...
  32. Re: need help with adding data to a table from a user form

I improved this sample a bit so that it will add a recordnumber (instead of relying on the ID field). Download, extract all files, open the project and run it. See comments in the code.
    DO note...

    Re: Deleting files form Listbox

But, ListBoxX.Items.Clear (Where ListBoxX is the NAME of the listbox) should work I believe in VB.NET products. (In VB6 it is simply ListX.Clear (where ListX is the listbox name).

  37. Re: [RESOLVED] variable not defined at Make time, but OK in IDE

Good Point, DM...based upon some long ago post to one of my threads (probably your post), I added the "Start with Full Compile" option in my IDE and always use IT instead of the "Compile" button. ...
  38. Re: need help with adding data to a table from a user form

Well, its there (frmMain.frm), along with the project files and the database.
Extract all the files in the zip to the same directory, then open the project (Amplifiers.vbp)....run it.
  39. Re: need help with adding data to a table from a user form

If you want to see ALL entries in a table, that select statement (in my example) could be:

    Private Sub Command2_Click()
    ampList.Clear
    Dim firstLetter As String
    firstLetter =...
